Week Three: Using your values to set boundaries. Discover your ability to set boundaries and explore why your child might be reacting negatively to those boundaries based on your skills. ABC’s of parenting: Attention, Balance, and Compassion. Discussion: Self Reflection: Know yourself-Know your child. Building self awareness and reflection into your life.
Week Four: Bringing awareness to your “shoulds and musts”. Bringing awareness to your “plan” for your child. Letting go of YOUR plan for your child. Gaining acceptance and understanding of your child. Learning to come from a place of curiosity instead of judgment. Responding with intention instead of reacting from emotion. Discussion: How our early experience being parented shapes our childhood, adulthood and parenting styles. Mindful Practice.
